This single vineyard Terroir Series comes from a site in the high Uco Valley, sitting at 1300 m.a.s.l and like its name suggests, it is ambrosial. Fragrant cedar chips and dried violets create a potpourri of aromas; purple fruit, charred licorice root, bacon fat and baking spices round out the nose. It is big and bold, spicy and meaty. Lively acidity balances the lingering chewy tannins and the finish is extensive, trailing bittersweet cocoa.
A wine for grilled meats, hearty stews, or roasted mushroom sauces.
